{"id":1325,"date":"2024-12-08T23:36:40","date_gmt":"2024-12-08T22:36:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polandembassy.orderofmalta.int\/?post_type=news&#038;p=1325"},"modified":"2024-12-20T00:15:07","modified_gmt":"2024-12-19T23:15:07","slug":"the-17th-annual-international-charity-bazaar","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/polandembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/news\/the-17th-annual-international-charity-bazaar\/","title":{"rendered":"The 17th Annual International Charity Bazaar"},"featured_media":0,"menu_order":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-1325","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry","news_categories-news"],"acf":{"hidden_news":"no","evidence":"yes","focus_on":"no","breaking":"no","news_cover":{"id":1326,"url":"https:\/\/polandembassy.orderofmalta.int\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/12\/1.Cover_.jpg"},"news_content":"<div>On December 8th, 2024, the 17th Annual International Charity Bazaar organised by the Spouses of Heads of Mission in Warsaw (SHOM) took place in the PGE Narodowy Arena in Warsaw under the honorary patronage of the First Lady of Poland Mrs Agata Kornhauser-Duda.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>The bazaar is one of Warsaw\u2019s most significant fundraising events of the year and supports Polish charities that provide care and assistance to the most vulnerable people in society, including poor, disabled and terminally ill children and adults, marginalised communities and the elderly.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>This year, the event welcomed c. 20,000 visitors. Approximately 50 diplomatic missions accredited to Poland exhibited their local products, including arts and crafts, food and decorations. The programme also included artistic performances from several countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>The Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta participated for the third time under the skilful direction of Mrs Eva Lorijn, the Ambassador\u2019s wife, and Mrs Alexandra Konarska, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy. This year, the Embassy nominated the Order of Malta\u2019s Social Welfare Home Michael the Archangel in Szyldak, as one of the beneficiaries of the event.
