The Grand Commander of the Sovereign Order of Malta, H.E. Fra’ Emmanuel Rousseau, arrived in Warsaw for a two-day visit to attend the annual convention of the Polish Association of the Order of Malta, held on 31 May at the complex of the Field Cathedral of the Polish Army. During the Solemn Mass preceding the convention and celebrated by H.E. Wiesław Lechowicz, Field Bishop of the Polish Army, seven new members were admitted to the Order of Malta.
The visit coincided with a ceremony held the day before at Belvedere Palace during which H.E. Wojciech Kolarski, Secretary of State and Head of the International Policy Bureau at the Chancellery of the President, bestowed on behalf of President Andrzej Duda the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland on H.E. Jacek Tarnowski, President of the Polish Association of the Order of Malta, and on Mrs Alexandra Konarska, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the Order of Malta in Poland.
During his stay in Warsaw, the Grand Commander had the opportunity to visit the Royal Castle and the King Jan III Sobieski’s Palace Museum in Wilanów.
