On February 1, 2012, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a videoconference meeting between Deputy Minister Pawel Jablonski and Ambassador Niels Carl A. Lorijn, Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Poland, on development assistance to Ukraine and Moldova, as well as cooperation opportunities in Africa and the Middle East.
Both parts agreed on the need to expand the areas of joint activities.
On 18 July, the Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Order of Malta, H.E. Riccardo Paternò di Montecupo, received at the Magistral Palace in Rome Mr. Pawel Kowal, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Polish Sejm and Chairman of the Council for Cooperation with Ukraine.
On the occasion of the feast day of St. John the Baptist, national day of the Sovereign Order of Malta, the Order’s Embassy in Poland held the traditional Mass at the Field Cathedral of the Polish Army in Warsaw, followed by a reception hosted by Ambassador and Mrs Lorijn at their residence.
The Polish Association of the Order of Malta held its annual convention on June 8th at the National Institute of Rural Culture and Heritage in Warsaw.
